MBTI Reflection

When I got the results of my MBTI I was surprised that my self-assessment type and my indicator type were exactly the same. My results said that I am introverted, sensing, feeling, and judging. The one result that I was not at all surprised about was that I am introverted, that is something that I have always known. For the others I was only slightly or moderately on that side, but I believe that they match up to the way that I am.

Being an ISFJ means that I am practical, realistic, considerate, and responsible. It also means that I focus on the needs of others and take responsibilities seriously and expect others to do the same. I am also respectful of established procedures and authority and I value harmony and cooperation. It also means that I am likely to see facts clearly and accurately and am apt to make decisions based on personal values and concern for others. I am also sympathetic, tactful, and supportive of others. Other people see me as quiet, serious, and conscientious.

I believe that many of these qualities fit the way that I am. I learned that I like things to be controlled and orderly and that I like consistency. I also like to have things planned. Many of these qualities along with the ones mentioned before should greatly benefit me on my way to becoming a doctor. They should also help when I am a doctor because I am patient and persistent and I am respectful and concerned about others.

It was very interesting being able to learn about not only my personality type but those of others. Everyone is different but when I read about all of the personality types I could always picture someone that I know fitting into that specific type. I believe that learning about my personality type should help me be more aware of the things that I do and how they affect other people.

  1. I think your qualities of being sympathetic, supportive, practical and realistic are all great attributes to have if you want to be part of the medical world. These qualities will also be very important during the many years of school you have ahead of you. Having an awareness of your personality and your tendencies is both interesting and important.
